Personal Colorful Rainy Days

Five umbrellas are covered with crochet crepe paper in the colores red, green, orange, blue and yellow.

The imagination of how the colorfull material fades, how it leaves its colour on the clothe of people underneath and how the material finaly falls into pieces, is a main part of the artwork.

Our Virtual Eating

How important is family today and how does a family look like?
How big are usual families and do extended families still exist?

 


The two tables in the video morph into one, people take place and take away the place of others. An interplay is created. The visitor is not able to deside between the two families and in special parts the same happens between two people, they overlap.

Two families are filmed wile having dinner at their home. Both videos are put over each other  and worked on a special computer program. The meeting at the table gets a stronger meaning because of the double effect of the second family, and a patchwork-family is created.

The video is a life-sized room-instalation. The sound is created in a similar way as the video itself. It gives more importance to the white room the video-projection is shown in. The sound also lets the vewers change their position and they get the chance of different room-experiences.
